Hi everyone. Oh and advice urgently needed!

Hello everyone.

I obviously new on here and I have just bought a 17 plate xe 180 awd. 

I have a bit of an urgent question for you xe experts.. and need your advice. 

Do other xe owners experience a high pitched pump type noise from inside the cabin.. it's not overly loud but can be heard over the engine on tick over. 

If you stand near the rear wheels you can hear the whirring pump type noise from under the centre of the rear of the car. 

Can you tell  me is this normal?? It is very much like the electric fuel pump noise I have on my Lotus Sunbeam.  Just didnt figure I'd hear it on a Jag XE and need your advice before I take the car back!

Just for clarity - you are discussing  problems with an XE but your profile states you have an XF.  Is this just a mistake on your profile ?
