My cigarette lighter isn’t working and I don’t know the fuse location

  • 2 years later...

This is from my '09 XF Owners Handbook (page 245), which shows the Cigar Lighter is F22 in the Engine compartment fuse box.

Curious, does anybody use the cigarette lighter these days to actually light a cigarette? Or is it just to charge phones!?? 😁

Back in the day, Jaguar and other prestige car manufacturers used to refer to them as 'Cigar Lighters'....obviously for the more discerning gentleman driver

Very good point, personally I have never used one to light a cigar, but did use them for cigarettes when I was a smoker in my younger years.

I think the youth of today look a them and just think `phone charger`

That was the other thing I remember, you never used it as it would devalue the car as it was then a smokers car and not looked after too well.
An unused Cigar Lighter in the car meant something then, even though the headlining may have been yellow with the smoke and many air fresheners to get rid of the smell 🙂

Yes, even being a smoker back then I never wanted to buy a car that stank of smoke!!!!!

Stop smoking and keep your car clean.!
