Steering Column Locked Fault

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am not able to start my 2010 Jaguar XF 3.0 diesel due a fault with it showing  the steering column as locked.

I've had my usual local garage out to it and he has had the diagnostic on it and it has come up with the error B1222-23 Master lock unlock switch.

We have put new batteries in both key fobs but no joy. has anybody had any experience of this as i feel it is probably not a major fault but can't afford to get Jag out themselves.

My local guy could not clear the fault. It's as though it cannot find the module.

Too late but might help someone. Try turning the car on with hazards lights on and key placed under the steering column.

worked for me on 2015 XF
