Rear calipers issue

Hi,

Jag in for MOT and service.

Rear pads required changing which garage started then hit a problem.

Both callipers would not release far enough to insert the new pads.

Garage called me to inform me that the callipers would also need to be replaced.

I asked if it could be related to the computer system as the brakes are electronically set.

Response was the service team plug in their computer and open callipers from commands.

Anyone experienced this problem?

Should new callipers be required?

Any suggestions ...
