Hello members I am having an issue with my parking sensors.

When I put the car in drive or reverse the parking sensor turn off light in the roof console comes on and the sensors don't seem to work as the car speeds up the light goes out. I am sure that after I went through an automatic car wash the other day that started it working but it soon went back to the same as it was do you think this could be a faulty sensor or the parking sensor control unit but it is strange the car wash is a temporary fix. I usually go to the hand car wash but sometimes the bloke with the jet washer gets carried away I wonder if that might have damaged a sensor is there a way to test them.

Regards Richard

I had a parking sensor problem on my xj sovreign and saw a guy on line showing us to spray them with wd40 full on and I reluctantly tried it, it took about 34 hours but worked and as he said removed the moisture.                             Regards Mick
