Hi All,

Recently, I noticed the passenger side headlamp stopped working (both low / high beam, but turn signal light is working). I took it to nearly auto repair shop - where they changed the Xenon Bulb (D3S Hid) and it didn't work. They asked to take to some other shop to fix it as they don't know whats going on. I checked over phone with another British Auto repair shop where they quoted 850$+tax - saying some controller issue - which would cost 450$ for the parts and remaining for the labor - as they need to remove the front bumper. (I think the first shop didn't remove the bumpers)

I would like to know
1. Whether this is something I can do it myself? (Referring to this forum and like this[1],[2])
2. What are the parts I need to buy? I couldn't find proper description of headlamp parts.
3. Is it a good idea to remove both the headlights and exchange the parts to compare which is the faulty?

Thanks in advance for your tips/help. I'm a noobie with no experience on repairing cars. (except for engine/cabin air filter change! :P)
