Hello,

Firsty id like to introduce my self.. my names Matthew and im about to buy a XJ40 on a 1994 reg. Hopfully il be picking it up Sunday. The Jag all checks out however the question id like to ask is the owner only has 1 key.. can you tell me how easy it is to get a spare key made (EG Timpsons) will the key have to be programmed to the Jag.. will i need any special PIN numbers (Yes he has the radio code) is it a "Tibble key" or is it a "standard" wafer type key.

Hi Matty.....welcome to the Forum

The key should be a standard one that most locksmith companies can replicate. The fob would coded to the car as standard.

Have you collected the Jag yet and whats your thoughts on it?
