Hi All, when I purchased (it's getting to be an ebay Pig-in-a-Poke) my car I did not notice the electronic was not working. So, when I stopped on the motorway I locked it manually. At home I stripped the keyfob and changed the battery (I actually found the contacts missing as well as a battery from inside the fob ! Fully assembled I tried the fob and it does not work. I was hoping it might be the rubber pads need changing on the circuit board but my usual car key dealer is away on holiday. So whilst waiting I am using manual locking but then I noticed that inside the car when one pushes the locking button on the dash, the doors lock (but not the driver's door) but only for 5 secs then they unlock. If a repaired keyfob fails to work I need to know where the receiver magic box is and is it likely to be at fault ?

hi

door module is in the door

but its usually the drivers door lock, there switches inside it that tell it when its locked, if these dont make the doors unlock again

cheers

Joe
