XK Coupe Glove compartment lock/catch

Hi,

I have a 2006 XK coupe and was surprised when opening the glove compartment with the key that the whole mechanism complete with spring popped out !

I can see how the lock and release mechanism work but cannot understand how it is all kept in place as there doesn't seem to be any clips or catches or bits to retain it anywhere ?

Any advice on this would be welcomed

You can download the XK Repair Manual from Jagrepair.com

It is incredibly detailed, so I would imagine that the details will be shown in that manual.
