Hi. Not changing up from 1st. Gear high revs still does not change. No strange noises , runs smooth. Amber light on showing gearbox fault. Any ideas welcome

HI

Amber gearbox fault light is a give away

get it plugged in and see what the fault is, any suggestions on here will be pure guess work and will be a expensive way to sort it

get the code and it will point you in the right direction, could be as simple as a abs sensor or low oil in the box

you ideally need some one with Jaguar IDS/SDD for correct fault codes

cheers

Joe

Out of interest did you get the Box sorted? I am thinking of buying an S type which lurches from 2nd to 1st.
