Rear discs corrosion

Featured Replies

Hi, I've seen considerable discussion regarding corrosion of the rear discs where it is plainly obvious that the root cause is lack of contact of the pads to the discs under normal braking; together with a number of retorts from both JLR and others referring to quality of discs etc. JLR 'head office' have rebuffed my claim for the rear discs on my 2 year old Portfolio for a warranty repair, and I have submitted the case to the Motor Ombudsman (motoring ombudsman - Bing ) who have accepted it as a valid claim and are in the process of taking it up with JLR. My question/s today: Anyone on this forum had any experience / success with Motor Ombudsman, or indeed have pursued JLR through the Small Claims Court for resolution of similar issues?

Regards,
