Being the proud owner of a 1999 XJ8 which is rust free at present.  I have been considering a waxoil treatment for the underside to keep it clean. Is this something that anyone has tried and would you recommend it?

Regards

Paul

hi

waxoyl not very good, goes on too thick, then splits and holds water.

use something like bilt hamber S50 or these lanoguard kits

need to do inside all the box sections as well, takes time but well worth it, did mine a few years ago

also Krown rust treatment is worth looking at, they do it all for you and comes with a guarantee, good stuff

cheers

Joe

Waxoil, I wouldn't, but Bilt Hamber is awesome.

Use S50 in box sections, UB where you don't mind the final coating being black and UC where you do, as UC is transparent.
