Original Phone in XJ can it be made to work?

Hi,

Does any one know please if the original phone in a 2003 xj 

be used? do you convert it to blue tooth? is this possible?

Any ideas please?

I have been told its in working order .

As far as I know, if the phone is original to the car then you only need insert a SIM card and it should be operational.
