I am unable to start my XF as it is not recognising my keyfob. I have only one key for this vehicle. I think I need it reprogramming or replacing. Does anyone in the forum have information of the best and cheapest way to get keyfobs reprogrammed/replaced please? It is a 2017 XF sport and I am in the Gloucester area.

Thanks for you help.

Just change the battery then put it in the porthole on the drivers side under the dashboard then it will reconnect the keys

Hi Thomas,

Welcome to Jaguar Owners.

There are some useful posts in the XF forum on Key Fob Replacement and reprogramming.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Julie.

  1. Insert the key into the ignition.
  2. Turn the key to "I".
  3. Turn the key to "II" and back to "I" quickly 4 times.
  4. The alarm system should chime once when the key is back to "I" for the 4th time.
  5. Remove the key from the ignition.

What a load of rubbish, it's a stop start button, you don't put the key in the ignition, it's a fob.
