Is it true that there is a spark plug shortage for the plugs used in the F-Pace?

I just took my F-Pace (Portfolio -296HP) in for its service call.  They were unable to complete the service they told me due to a spark plug shortage.  I am wondering if others have heard this.  BTW I really like this car.  My first Jag and it is one of my favorites now.

Must be making them cheaper these days

the service schedule on my 2004 S-type R, shows the spark plugs only need changing every 100k miles or 10 years

whats does it say in the service schedule
