Sat nav reads dvd check in progress

I've just brought a 2008 xf. The sat nav reads dvd check in progress. I've started the engine ,removed the disc and reinserted and went for an hours drive a couple of times now as mentioned in a previous post. But nothing changes.Once it flashed up check correct dvd as unable to read but this displayed and it reverted back. Has anyone had the same issue which they have resolved. It the original dvd which appears in good order.
