My Dad bought the car new in the UK, later retired to Ireland so that's where it is now, with an Irish registration plate - only one owner. Has not been driven for at least 5 years and the tyres are flat but it has been garaged for the last 25+ years, see the pics for its condition, it was his pride and joy. 54,749 miles, manufactured Aug 1987, petrol, 5343cc, 2 door.

Dad died a few months ago and I need to sell the Jag as part of administering his estate for probate - so all offers considered. Please email [email protected] if interested or would like further info.

Many thanks!

Hello Maria,

My condolences for the loss of your Father.

Have you tried may be an ad in one of the car magazines

or an auction site as you will get a lot more coverage there.

Hope you sell the car soon.

Kind Regards,

Julie.

Many thanks for replying and your condolences Julie, and the selling tips, I'll have to go down the auction route if all else fails as I can't keep the car even though I think that it's a work of art.

Kind regards

Maria

As above, Sorry to hear of your loss.

Just commenting re thread title and cabriolet.

Hope the car finds a good home.

Many thanks Dave for taking the time out to reply, for your condolences and good wishes, much appreciated. The Irish registration document says the car is a cabriolet, I copied the details from there, don't know whether there was an error when reregistering the car from the UK to Ireland in the 1990s or whether the nomenclature has changed since the car was made in 1987. Anyway, I'll bear your point in mind for future ads.

Kind regards

Maria
