My last XK8 (1998) suffered a serious rust problem to the rear chassis. Later this week I am looking to purchase a 2007 XK which I believe is aluminum based so should not suffer the same issues. But is there anything else I should look out for? I loved my XK8 and was sorry to see it go - hence the plan to buy another. I've had a V12 E-Type in the past but I think the XK is more beautiful and certainly much nicer to drive!

The Jaguar XK is a great car, with its lightweight, bonded and riveted aluminum monocoque clothed in aluminum body panels, and a choice of a reliable 4.2 or 5.0-litre V8 under its long bonnet – supercharged in R versions.
