Hello everyone

Can someone advise me please, I have a 2010 XK 5.0 and after reconnecting the battery the driver seat adjustment buttons have stopped working. The passenger seat is fine, I don't know where to start looking. To make things harder, the seat has moved back before it stopped working and is stuck under the side panelling and I can't use the lever to pull seat back forward.

I've looked for fuse box diagrams but keep getting redirected to Jaguar XF?. Thank you for your time.

It is a problem.  I watched a youtube to overcome a similar issue, the recliner will only go backward and not forward.  It was recommended to replace the seat control module with a later version. i.e. in my case a 2008 -2010 module.  However, having fitted the replacement; another issue became apparent, the replacement part I was supplied was for the drivers seat and not the passenger seat.  I naturally assumed it was the same.  Good news is that I was able to bring the recliner forward refitted the old module and operated as before but at least the seat was in more comfortable position.  Remedy, I've booked a visit to my local Jaguar Service Centre for advice and repair, hopefully overcomeing the problem once and for all.  I have since learnt to my cost that this is a common issue with 2006 models.  The module cost me £136 for a 2008 XKR X150 drivers seat.  have you resolved your problem yet?

Hi John

Thank you for replying, yes I managed to fix it. I bought an XF drivers seat module and it worked. I still had problems with the windows but when my local auto electrician looked he found it was down to corroded connections. I've got quite a collection of modules and switches now,I just thought they might come in handy one day. Take care.

I have this problem on my passenger seat - I brought a whole seat but that didnt work either - it came with a 16 way module and my car had 10 way, Ive brought a second had 10 way module which made no difference, my seat is fully reclined - the front edge of the seat goes up and down fine, also when I operate the switch I can hear the module click - I have SDD but when I try Recal or add a new module it always fails, any ideas also does the newere XF module have to 10 way to work in my 06 X150?

Hello

Sorry I have only just seen your post. Have you checked the switches. I had a similar problem I bought three seat units and it still wouldn’t work. I decided to have the switches looked at and they found a rusted connection. I think I still have a seat module somewhere. If you have the serial number of yours I will check it.
