Hi I'm only guessing here, if the oil level is OK and the light comes on have you checked your oil filter.

Hi Ian Yes here she is, now I've got original wheels taking up space in my bedroom. It makes getting up in the dark very tricky.

Hello I know this is a topic that has its owners for and against. I needed something modern with programs instantly available. The original unit just didn't fit the bill. Once I had picked my new unit I had to find someone to fit it. I found an amazing young chap who made sure everything was to my needs. He was also very reasonable with the fitting price. If any members are interested in this type of audio system then let me know. If anyone wants to see some photos I would be happy to post some.

Hi John Thank you for replying, yes I managed to fix it. I bought an XF drivers seat module and it worked. I still had problems with the windows but when my local auto electrician looked he found it was down to corroded connections. I've got quite a collection of modules and switches now,I just thought they might come in handy one day. Take care. Andy

Hello I'm having infuriating problems with my windows wing mirrors and seat. I have read a few very informative posts on here and the door lock micro switch was mentioned. There was a part number for just the micro switch and it was very cheap compared to a replacement door locking unit. The thing is I can't find just a micro switch for my car, can anyone tell me where I can purchase the switch please. Thank you for your time

Hello I am having a lot of trouble finding a parts supplier that doesn't just say they have the parts and when you visit their site there's just the usual "Not Found". I am desperate to sort out an drivers door window switch problem, when the drivers window would not work i disconnected it. I cleaned it and plugged it back in. As soon as i did the seat control module stopped working. I disconnected the window switch and the seat control worked. with the help of a friend we tested the connections with a probe. There are just three wires, White with Black stripe, Black, and Blue, the white and black one i think is the L I N connection now this was the weird thing, the other two wires showed Red for one and Green for the other on the probe, but the Black and White one just flickered an orange colour very fast. It could have been both red and green flashing quickly but it looked orange. I have purchased two replacement switch units and made sure they were the same part number, both would not work, so i thought i would try and buy a brand new one but i cant find anywhere to get one. Can anyone let me know where i can buy an 8W83 14540 AB Right hand door switch unit please. Or if anyone has an idea what the problem could be please. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hi Mark I spotted your post and thought I would mention that I posted the other day that I had brand new wheel bearings for S Type that I bought for my S Type but never fitted as I changed car. If you would like them they are free if you arrange courier I will package them. I know you don't want to put personal details here so if you would like them my email is andrew5523@gmail.com. There is no catch or hidden motive, I just want them to go to a fellow Jaguar owner who may need them one day. Andy

Hello Does anyone know if only Jaguar can replace your windscreen. I have been searching for advice and found an article that said you can't use a mobile windscreen replacement firm. It has to be put in and sealed by heating the seal material. Is this true, or can you use a mobile fitter. Thanks Andy

Hello I wondered if anyone would find my condensation fix useful. I have a water filter kettle and the filters are supposed to be thrown away after one month. I decided to try an experiment, I have had sometimes a problem with condensation so I took a used filter and dried it on a radiator. I shook it a few times so the carbon pieces were all dry. I started to put it on my dash after leaving the car for the day and it worked. I keep a couple in the door pockets so that I always have a spare. The thing is with a filter kettle you never run out of them.

Hello everyone Can someone advise me please, I have a 2010 XK 5.0 and after reconnecting the battery the driver seat adjustment buttons have stopped working. The passenger seat is fine, I don't know where to start looking. To make things harder, the seat has moved back before it stopped working and is stuck under the side panelling and I can't use the lever to pull seat back forward. I've looked for fuse box diagrams but keep getting redirected to Jaguar XF?. Thank you for your time.

Thank you, that's very useful information. I think I might just refurbished the Brembo ones and sell them. Cheers

Hello I hope someone will be able to assist me with a question regarding the distance of the caliper fixing holes on a Jaguar XK 2010. I know the calipers are attached to the wheels on a mounting just behind the hub. I have a set of Brembo calipers off an S Type R and before I restore the calipers I would like to know if it is worth doing. I know there are brackets available if the holes are not the same, but it would be ideal if they were the same as an XK 2010. I am unable to get to the fixings otherwise I wouldn't ask. Can anyone help me please. Thank you for your time.

Hi I'm sorry the distance is a problem if I had a van I would drop it off. It would be a good excuse to see my family, some live in Poole and some in West Dean. Pity it only fits under the XK and not in the boot. -
