1994 XJ6 won’t start

My jag has been in storage n s’thing is draining battery but won’t start n someone forced gear shift into neutral to push it out of way… will this damage the gears etc in anyway? Thanks in advance

hi

not wont damage the gears

but may of damaged the J-gate or selecter depending on what it has

if the gearbox does not see its in park or neutral, it wont let the car start
