HI,

I have an 2014 XF, and I have a problem with my OBD, my car hase the 9 pin connector, but all I can find is OBD11,n which have 16 pin is there someone out ther that has an answer. or is there a cable that will connect the two?

Thanks

Mullers

Hi Mullers.

That is a difficult one as since the early 2000's ALL cars made in the EU (including the UK) had OBD2 with the standard 16 pin connector.

Can you post a photo of your connector?

Hi John,

I have attached a couple of photos' but as I was doing this I had a search under the bonnet, and as far as I could see there is no notification of sickers for the Onboard diagnosis Program.

Cheers

Hi

That looks like a 16 port OBD 2 to me, albeit a little bit beaten up.

Just make sure your connector is the right way up and it should fit with a tiny bit of jiggling...

Regards

John

Hi,

yes, unfortunately the new unit had a 32 pin connector and it would not fit. so have returned it to Amazon and recived a refund. now I have to find a 16 pin one or an adapter. Never mind ity was a good idea at the time.
