Hi first time on here, need help, i have a 2013 xf and the drivers door would not open every time when using the remote. So i bought a new lock assembly, followed the info and u tube and after about 3 hours put everything back together. When i work the remote now the drivers door will not lock, after one press of the remote all the doors make a noise and lock, After 3 seconds there is a double beep from the alarm. when i open the drivers door the alarm goes off. Can anyone help it is doing my tree in?

Hi Paul

When the car gives a double beep it is t warn you that all doors are not locked. This is triggerred when a door fails to send an "I am locked" message to the computer. This would seem to be confirmed by the fact you can set off the alarm by opening the drivers door which should be locked. If you can hear the lock trying to work in that door it would indicate that the lock is trying to operate but cant achieve a full lock. Have you tried locking the door from inside using the lever and then trying to open it from outside? Is the lock lining up correctly with the latch?

Hi John yes i have tried to lock the car from the inside but the mechanism did not seem to move. I am going to take it apart again today and see if i have not located the wire correctly in the door opener and locking mechanism. Thanks for your input Big John at least i know that the two beeps means that all the doors aren't locked. Cheers John
