I bought a 2006 x-type Sovereign 3.00 Automatic petrol a couple months ago.  I changed the battery but when I tried radio and sat nav it said enter code which I didn`t know which previous owner didnt know either. Jaguar email me with the code and updated their records  as me as new owner. But when I entered code it read Please Wait which I did, but nothing happened for 30 mins. I then went to drive home and it still read Please Wait , but also read enter code which I did and this time it read wrong code. I don`t want to enter it again just incase it will ban from entering code again if it doessn`t work again. Any help appreciated.

Hi,

Code is stored in the CD player in the dash

it may of been replaced, could be why the codes not working

there are loads of places on ebay that will give you the code off the CD player serial number

also when you remove it, code maybe written on it

Cheers

Joe

Hi Joe. Thank you for your reply.  I have since contacted Jaguar technicians and they told me what to do ie: press this and that then put in my own code, which didn`t work either. They then said to get a diagnostic done, which I did but still no joy and when I told them this. They said get the memory wiped with another diagnostic test and then put in my own System Code number. And my Sat Nav, Radio, Clock etc will start working again. Hopefully this will work.

Cheers Joey
