Red Engine Systems Fault Message

Featured Replies

Hi There,

i am new to the jag xf scene as well as new to a diesel scene, i was driving and received a red message on the dash and the car cut out, been told by the rac that it could be the DPF by what the computer is saying, i have had the car 2 months and now it wont start does this sound right??

james

Hi James

Did the RAC attend and read the fault codes?

If You bought from a dealer take it back unless it was sold "as seen"

John

Need to read error codes. My previous experience is that it would also display DPF full. I had a yellow error message regarding DPF so I would presume that this would have displayed giving you prior warning. Hope you find a solution.

the RAC were a joke and not helpful at all, i have just picked the car up and the fuel pressure was low so the mechanic cracked the injectors and it was back to normal again, so she just had a moment
