New Member. Glad to be aboard.

I have two questions:

1. Is there an instruction video or written instructions on replacing the top?

2. The top needs to be reset. Does it have to be brought to a dealership?

There are no leaks. Hoses are good. Seems the top is out of sink. Windows go down. The top unlatches and raises about three inches and stops. The motor keeps running. But will not signal the rear of the top to raise so, the body panel can open and complete lowering.

Thanks very much for your help

Hi Mitch, I am sure if you search the internet, someone will have a video of replacing the convertible top on the X-150 cars.

If the top needs a manual reset, it does NOT have to be taken to a dealer as the manual reset procedure is clearly explained in the Owners Handbook, around page 111. It is typically a 2-person task, so need someone to assist.

Good Evening Mitch,

Sorry to learn of your conv top issues, I previously enquired from Top Hydraulics (US conv top specialist) who have many videos from most popular car brands.

Check out their video for the XK (X150) Hope it might help you! Cheers Paul.

How much to rebuild convertible top cylinders, how can I manually take down top for now

Posted

Hi Rob, if you have read this thread, it tells you above how to manually lower and raise the convertible top. Check the handbook at around page 111.

Since your profile does not contain a location, no-one will know where abouts you reside, so your other question on cost to rebuild the cylinders is a touch moot. You will need to locate a suitable hydraulics workshop to assess and check the cylinders, once you have them removed from the vehicle.
