Hello everyone, I’m new here and need some advice, I have always stuck with Mondeo as a general rule, however I decided to buy a 3 litre Xf on a 60 reg for £2550 with 12 months MOT no advisories which was a bargain! I kept if only 2 weeks and my father persistently rambled on how I need to get rid of it as will hurt me if it goes wrong. Eventually I caved and I sold her for £3000. I have been filled with regret from the minute it sold and I want to buy another immediately. 
 

my question is was my father right? How would the Jaguar Xf compare to something like a ford when it comes to repair bills? I am not a rich man by any means and I would be hurt by repair bills of thousands of pounds, but surely a well serviced Xf with 140k on the clock 3 litre diesel I feel should have been pretty solid right? Should I buy another? Or am I simply wanting something I simply cannot afford to keep? Any advice would be appreciated.
