Hi, I have a year 2000 xjr that had had its original nikasil lined engine replaced with a steel lined one. It has started failing reguarly with the tps/asc/engine fail warnings and will only go at 10 mph in that state. Switching it off for a while often allowed it to start normally for a while until last week when the dreaded errors showed up constantly.

I took it to an independent garage who after trying a new tps, swapped out the whole throttle body for a used one that he had on a shelf. The car is running brilliantly at the moment but I am worried that the two bodies were different. The original seems to be one with the vacuum pump on it and the replacement doesn't.

Is this replacement body going to work long term or is it going to cause me more headaches later on? Thanks for any advice you can give me.
