Pressure out of dip stick/oil cap.

Featured Replies

I have a 2017 XE sport. It had an engine replacement in 2022 - as the chain issue reared its head. It has only done 26k since. Supplied and fitted by Jaguar.

There are fumes coming out of the dip stick when removed, same for the oil filler cap.

The engine seems to shake more than I would expect at idle.

It drives fine, smooth and powerful. No smoke from the exhaust, even at high revs.

Garage said it doesn't seem excessive. It's just had an oil change and I am going to drive it and keep an eye on oil level and take back at 1000 miles or of there is excessive oil consumption.

Anyone had similar issues?

Of the engines years ago I would say a small hole in top of a piston or rings on a piston gone XX

I don't know about these new type engines of today ???? thats old man me .
