Fuel door the flat black cover only fell off, cannot attach

The black flat fuel door cover fell off, it does not fit back on the strap of the hinge, not sure it it had another part glued on to fit. Help the door still opens .2027 f-pace

Hi Jana

It should simply slide back on. Open the fuel doorand then the cover should slide on.

This is from an XF but I think the mechanism is the same.

It sounds like the hinge or clip that holds the cover might have broken. You might need a replacement part for the hinge or the cover itself. A dealer or parts shop should be able to help with that
