Evening All,Ca

My boot release button has come adrift from it's housing and is just moving around inside the hole/housing it should be fixed inside.

I attempted to resolve the problem by

1) Removing the inner boot carpet however there's no way from inside there that you can get to the location of the button.

2) I removed the 2 circular plastic covers just above the number plate and either side of the 2 number plate lights. This revealed 2 bolts that i thought would allow me to remove the chrome strip where the release button is housed, however the chrome strip would not come off and that where my attempt to fix the release button ended, in failure.

Are there any fellow menbers that have successfully managed to relocate there boot release button that can share how to di it?

Thanks. Paul.
