Interior rear view mirror

Hi, I am now the proud owner of a 1998 (yes, that's right) beautiful XKR 4.0 convertible but the rear view mirror is so degraded it is useless.  There are lots of 2nd hand rear view mirrors on eBay for later models, but none for 1996-1998 models.  My question is, does the specific year matter or are these mirrors reasonably interchangeable?
