X Type CD Head Unit

Are all the x type CD head units the same and interchangeable? I have a 2002 model and have seen for sale a CD unit from a 2005 model, will it fit? Is it the same dimensionally and will the plug fittings be the same.

Hi Pezzzer I see in a later posting that you did managed to change the head unit to a CD and asked about the phone, I did reply to this posting and also asked about the radio/mini Disc player you removed, as my last car had a mini disc I transfered most of my music to MD and I asked what did you do with the mini disc you removed from your car, you never replied, do you still have it and if so how much do you want for it. you can contact me at [email protected] Regards Frank.
