Hello...

I hope I'm posting this in the right area, I don't use Forums that much so apologies if it is...

I have a friend in Australia who is moving country, he has a collection of classic Jaguar's and I'd like some advice as to whether there is merit to selling them in the UK/europe and if so, where advertise them. He has the following:

-1972 V12 E-Type. White with Red leather interior and a original factory fitted Sun roof. Original automatic transmission. Only 1800 kl.

-1972 v12 E-Type Convertible roadster. Dark Blue with Beige leather interior. Manual transmission. Only 800kl, Licensed original Dunlop tyre's. Never been road registered, Fantastic like new condition. Only two collector owners

-1960 XK 150s Convertible DHC Roadster. Black with read leather interior. Manual transmission. Only 6200kl. 1 of only 24 right hand drive built, fantastic condition. This model was the winner of Le Mans in 1951, 53, 55, 56 & 57.

As you can see, an awesome collection of classic Jaguars. Any advice would be welcome.

Look forward to hearing from you and thanks for any advice in advance.

Cheers

Phill

Welcome Philip, I was unable to look at the pics

Not too sure about import/export market, but I believe that if you are buying a car from another country

you have to contact customs and excise and that the car has to be in the UK for 6 weeks before

it can be registered in the UK, if I am wrong I am sure someone will correct me.

You can check on the government site www.direct.gov.uk/.../BuyingAndSellingAVehicle/

The 72 blue convertible has done 800kl, but not been road road registered, was this mileage done on a track,

I wish your friend good luck with the sale of his cars, they sound very good. biggrin.gif
