Hello all - I'm Nigel, and I am still having to go to the window and look in the drive to make sure that I really do have a Jag out there! On Tuesday I went to a second-hand car dealers to look at an X-Type he had for sale, and instead of the humming and ha-ing and dithering I'd expected to be doing, I did a trade-in of my Octavia there and then and drove home in the Jag. Very different style of car that's taking me some getting used to after 15 years of VAGs, but I'm thrilled to bits. My grandfather had a MkX when I was tiny, and since then, 'car' has always been synonymous with 'Jaguar.'

And so here I am, a new Jag owner, with admittedly not the Jaggest of Jags, but it is one, and that's me happy.

And I live in France, about 40 miles south of Paris, so if I suddenly start quoting prices in Euros or speaking in Kilometres, don't worry - I haven't joined the Dark Side!
