In Florida is standard D.I.Y to service the air-con (climate control) you simply add freon or a dye to find the leaks if any.

What type of freon does Jaguar use, I am thinking R134A or some modern Gas surely not R12.

Do they have the shrader type valve intakes? where are they located on a 2005 S-Type 2.7D

what type of connection,

In the USA they use a standard connector, from memory I think BMW has the same type.

Why dont don'tmechanics or what do you do to top up the system.

I found out that the freon is R134A same as availble in the DIY kits
