driver side dipped beam is out, not the buld and dont think its a fuse ...

Featured Replies

So my much loved x-type 3.0 has an issue, the right hand side dipped beam is out, I dont think its the fuse (would like to check i changed the right one), have change the bulb. is there anything else to check that isn't to tricky before I go to the dark place with holes in the floor where they take £45 every hour?

i would really appreciate any informed ideas even if they just make me sound not to stupid at the garage. Thanks a lot in advance.

I had this issue, and it was the little metal retaining clip when you put the bulb back in, was not connecting properly. Something had come loose and I had to lightly bend the metal with my fingers to ensure it made contact and everything pulled tight. Put the bulb in and just have a little push about with it and see if the bulb flashes on at any point, you may find its just a loose connection that you can sort yourself. Might not be that but that is what I found with mine.

had the same issue with the similar cure on mine it was the actual connecter not clipping onto the bulb correctly
