Has anyone else experienced this ??

I have 2 sets of keys for my X-type.

bboth have failed and am having to use the key manually.

The batteries are good.

Do I have to get a new key and all the hassle that goes with re-programming it ?

or can you buy the internals separately ? I wonder if it has renewable little bumps like cell phone keypads ?

Waiting for you Steve as you seem to be the only one who knows any answers ??

STOPPRESS: since i posted this i found a set of buttons and batteries on ebay for £9.99 then a spare casing for £9.99, so i'm quids in.

a jag dealer quoted me at £150 ex-vat to repaair and re-programme my key ??

thank you Mr.Jag ! no wonder people steer away from jags with such costs and yet with people like you fellow members helping each other we can under score them all the time.
