Hi everyone,

 

I've got a X-Type 2005 2.0 sport diesel which has a few engine problems, i.e. knocking, smoking, trouble starting in a morning and an intermittent injector problem.

It's got 218,000 miles on the clock and with all the problems I'm looking at replacing the engine.  The rest of the car is in really good condition.

 

Can anyone recommend anywhere to get a replacement engine with injector pump?

Fitting it is no problem.  Just need to get one delivered.

I'm confused!

 

The bloke I got the Jag off said the engine was a euro 4 sports diesel, so, does that mean it's a TDCi?


How do I find out exactly what engine I've currently got so I can order the right one or was there only one 2.0 diesel used in the saloon type Jags in 2005?
