Hi, I have a 2.2 diesel x type manual, when I push the clutch pedal theres a loud rumbling on engage and release. Im thinking thrust bearing any ideas and has anyone done one themselves.Thanks.

certainly does sound like a release bearing fault...usually when previous owner has left their foot resting on the clutch pedal and constantly engaging the bearing until it overheats or drills through the clutch cover.

As long as its just noisy then the chances are that it will just make a noise but still function okay

Thanks for that, yes it operates fine smooth not notchy so im going to use it until the symptoms get worse or have the funds to get it repaired.
