Good day i had the same experience with Vantrue dashcam, i this is not the only problem you may face ! , after one week the dashcam started to lag and keep restart, i return it back to the seller and got another brand i is the only safe connection to connect in cigarettes lighter fuse in internal fuse box try to change the dashcam with one with internal battery to remain working even the car power off , also to keep car battery safe this is my experience

Stephen Good luck with your XK8. If everything is OK once you have initially started the engine, that`s when you can start on the list of works that you may find want doing. Hopefully having been garaged and covered up for five years you hopefully will not have bodywork problems to deal with. Should be a nice car for you eventually.
