    Hello everyone Have just bought a black 2014 XKR-S. will probably pick it up toward the end of this week or early next once it’s been serviced and MOT’d. I had originally been looking for either an XK Dynamic R or an F Type but when the opportunity to buy the XKR-S presented itself it was no brainier. Looking forward to some exciting road trips and conversations on this forum.

    Thanks. Most of the oil separators or catch cans are in kit form set up for specific cars. I could not find one for Jaguars so ended up using this one for a Ford Fusion. It is set up for 1/2 inch hose and the Jaguar uses 5/8 inch hose, so adapters are needed. It has a filter in it and a little push style drain valve in the bottom. It is a bit of a reach to get to but it works well and is mostly hidden.

    I walked into this car knowing full well there were issues to be resolved, so I'm happy to sort them all out one by one. I'll spend tomorrow driving the car and playing with the heater/air con, and get back to you. Thanks Dave.

    Glad to hear you got it taxed Bob, i had a feeling you might have been up against the might and mystery of cyberspace! See how it goes with repeatedly trying the AC temerature up/down, i have another suggestion that's a bit more technical after that if it doesn't work though.

    Hi Dave, The tax situation is just as you predicted. I taxed it at the Post Office, no problem. The Air Con problem didn't get fixed though. I'll try again a few more times though.

    That's really good. The black fluid (it isn't oil) mixed with petrol and burnt, lowers the octane rating with its associated problems. I used a vapour condenser can and set it up on the right side so's to enable easy disposal of the waste fluid.
