  1. Hi, I've a problem with one alloy, the value is leaking. On these alloys the values are different, metal value that has a cap on it. you need to put an adapter on to pump tyre up. Is a bit of a nightmare.

Anyway have had a puncture, and local guy couldn't fix it. a trip to local independent garage is next on the cards. However anyone got advice on this?

  2. Yes door locks from inside and by key, but not remote, also noticed that when pressing button inside to open the door and you hold it, it opens all four windows and when holding the button closes 3 of the windows, the forth you have to to close by pressing the correct button.

I've seen different combinations to do the 're programming I've only tried one of them so far.

I take the IDS / SDD diagnostics will pinpoint the problem?

  3. Hi, searched the site and couldn't find resolution on my issue.

Remote control key fob works for unlocking, boot opening, and lights. However when trying to lock it it doesn't work, had been working ok before. this is affecting both keys.

Any ideas on how to fix the problem.

Tried to re program keys, but couldn't hear the confirmation beep.

It's possibly not moving because of lack of use?  On other cars I have gently moved the mirror by hand to free it up and also sprayed behind it with WD40.  However I would see what others advise first.

    Worth a try. Thanks Gary.

  5. Brought an s type over the weekend. Ive noticed that the passenger side wing mirror only moves up and down and not side to side.

Ive tried searching on the forum but couldnt find what the problem is, any one have any advice?

Should I look at a new wing mirror or is it a motor problem.

Sorry if the answer is obvious, ive not had a lot of experience with fixing car issues.

    Hi Amardeep,

Welcome to the Jaguar Owners Club :)

Excellent idea to check your sills. I very nearly lost my S-Type owing to the advanced state of corrosion in my sills. Luckily, I had access to a superb welder who brought her back from the brink but it cost me just over £600 to do so.

The sooner you look, the better.

    Fingers crossed for you :)

Thanks, it was your post that had me worried. Lol

Hopefully I can get it looked at this week to understand the damage. However it passed a years mot this month with no advisories at a jag specialist garage.
