Hi guys, what is the easiest way to tell if my 2.7D 07 reg has a timing belt or chain? I rang local garage and was Informed that it could be either, would main dealer be able to help me? 

Thanks old Peter, but my battery is brand new platinum one, so don't think that will be the problem, but would you say its nothing to worry about? Thanks. 

Hiya, does anyone know why the abs fault light momentarily flashes when I start my s type, but does not show any more whilst driving? Cheers Dave.

I have thought about chroming up the lights, but nothing else.  The lights on Ron's car look quite good especially on a darker car, and I have not ruled out doing the same to mine.

I did see an S type with Chrome wing mirrors and wheel arches and thought that it looked more like a fifties American style car. I wouldn't bother with them.

Hi, I'm thinking of "chroming up" my s type, how far should I go? Lights f/r, wing mirrors, wheel arches. Would the whole lot be going too far? Tia. 

Hi I recently bought an s type 2007 2.7d with a park brake fault that I cannot clear the brake was stuck on when I picked it up which I released by powering the connector to make the motor move which worked the only problem now is the handbrake won't apply and the fault is still showing I have tried resetting the module and also put a new battery on the car but can't seem to get it to work does anybody have any other suggestions as to what to do?

I have another concern, after having a problem with EPB not releasing (I have managed to sort this myself by passing a 12v charge through the electronic module to reset park brake) but the red warning "service needed" is on dash. The problem is according to the service book the car is "FSH" and was serviced in July 1000 miles ago. Do I need to have the codes reset to clear the messages (which still has EPB not working, even though it now works). 

Is there any way of checking visually if a cam belt has been changed on a 2.7 s type
