Almost as nice as mine 🤣 Super looking car! I thought about a black one but ended up with silver. And don't know anywhere in Dorset, sorry to say.

Hi all,
Needed to buy a new battery due to message on screen of the battery being low. I do not know if I have start stop. But looking online it appears that an auxiliary battery is available for this model (Exide EK151) .Having looked at pics (attached) mine does not have the aux battery next to the main battery? Not even lugs on the body for the battery holder to attach to. So I am wondering if mine does have an aux battery of not, and if it does, where is it?
Hope someone can help
Thanks

Hi Davymc,
I am a fan of the Osram bulbs. This should be an improvement. D3S - Night Breaker Laser Xenarc
But check out the fitment guide to be sure https://am-application.osram.info/en
Not the cheapest bulb but I think will definitely be an improvement. I will be getting some for mine when I have a few pennies spare.
Cheers

Hi all,
Although I have very good mechanical knowledge, I am new to owning a Jaguar. I have to say the XJ is truly stunning! What a car. But, I have a couple of issues. When the engine is running, from the sort of centre to the left of the car while sat inside with the engine running, you can hear what I can only describe as a sort of noise the increases and decreases with the rpm. Its like a fan that's rubbing, so as it spins you get a noise. Or like an exhaust manifold with a tiny leak. It's hard to describe, but it's a noise that I consider shouldn't be there. But is's there, and it's not a fan as the speed of the noise increases and decreases with the revs. Any ideas?
The other thing is the rear sunroof sun blind thing wont fully close, it stays about 1cm open? Should it be like this or should it fully close?
Hoping someone may have experience with this.
Thanks to all in advance.

Hi all,
Totally agree with Old Peter. Millers is great stuff and the premium fuel goes without saying 😊

XJ L X351 2011 Rear Door Lock
in 2003 Onwards XJ
Posted
Hi All,
Was wondering if any one has had any experience with a sticking rear door lock. When locked, using the central locking, it wont fully unlock and you can't open the door. If you unlock from the inside and then use central locking it wont lock. It's like there is resistance in the mechanism which you can feel when operating it manually from in the car. The little lock/unlock lever above the handle moves a little but not fully in either direction, unless moved manually.
Thanks
