Portfolio Badge
Not done it myself but you warm the badge up with a hair dryer and use fishing line to remove the badge. If you're not a fisherman, I believe that dental floss makes a good alternative! 😉

Activating Adaptive Cruise Control - XE Portfolio 2017 180bhp
Hi John. First sign of ACC is the growler badge on the front grill has a rectangular plastic surround. You will also see on the steering wheel, apart from the up and down arrows (North and South position) there are also some additional arrows in the East and West positions. A long double ended arrow on the West position and a short double ended arrow on the East position.

Auto Gear Mode - Selection
Hi John. Can't say I've ever had this happen to me. If it is definitely in D when you set off then it should change automatically without displaying any gear numbers. If you have caught the paddle by mistake, holding the + paddle for about 3 seconds will put the car back to D and fully auto. Hope that helps. Ian

Air con blowing warm
Premski. I wouldn't take it anywhere except straight back to the dealer. If you have someone else look at it before they do then you've given them a "get out of jail free" card and they may refuse to rectify it. The fact that you have have paid extra to get a 3 year extended warranty, you may as well take full advantage of it. I would have thought A/C would be covered!

Air con blowing warm
Hi Premski. I've not heard of there being an inherent fault with the XE. Where did you get the car from? I'm only asking as my XE was not from a main dealer but it did come with a 3 month warranty. It may be worth asking the dealership if they could rectify it. If the purchase was private then I think the cheapest option would be to go to an AC specialist and get him to look at it. They can do a pressure test to see if there is any gas in the system, If the system is empty they will also do a pressure test to see if it will hold pressure before putting gas into it! Sorry I can't be of more help. 😐

First non Ford car!
Hi Trevor. Thanks for your reply. I will take some nice photos once I've washed the car and got it all sparkling. It does seem really strange not driving a Ford to be honest, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. 😁

How to get in boot when battery disconnected
There is an emergency key in the key fob. There should be no reason he can't open the doors and release the bonnet catch!

First non Ford car!
Hi all. Just joined the club after buying a lovely XE R Sport in Loire blue! It's a 2017 model and had only 13505 miles on the clock when I picked it up! I absolutely love it. And like it says in the title, it is the first car I have ever owned that has not been made by Ford! (I do work for Ford so go easy with the replies) 😜

How to get in boot when battery disconnected
I'm new to Jaguar ownership but I have noticed that there is a place in the engine compartment to attach jump leads/battery charger! Possibly connect a charger to this and see if you open it that way! Like I say I'm new to Jaguar so might be talking got air! Good luck.

Rodney/James Two reasons I use a charger. One. I don't have any spare batteries lying around & Two. Guaranteed voltage output. 🤨

Central Locking Problem with 2013 XF Portfolio S
This may well be a big no no with Jaguars but last time I changed a battery I knew that there would be issues with radio codes, window memory, central locking etc so I decided to do a little experiment. I connected my battery charger to the cables before I disconnected them. Switched on the charger, disconnected the cables, swapped the batteries, reconnected the cables switched off and disconnected the charger and the car worked exactly the way it did before I changed the battery! ZERO problems! 😉
