  1. Normal service has resumed however I can't be sure what the problem was as apart from taking the door panel off and think that one of the plugs into the module wasn't fully inserted,

put it on the scanner and scrubbed a couple of fault codes

thanks again to all members for their input on this thread

  2. Cheers for that Jim

Will  look at pulling the passenger door module for the part number for a replacement,

I can't find a how to but hopefully I won't have to remove the door panel as the information I have found suggests that it is positioned behind the door speaker

  3. I may be wrong but I think the car was set up that when the passenger door was opened the mirrors unfolded ,

I understand where you are coming from but after 10 years ownership this has only recently been brought to my attention after a battery disconnect and me thinking I might have an incoming gremlin

On the flip side if what I think was happening isn't within the normal format of the in car software it may have highlighted  a gremlin that i wasn't aware of

  5. Personally russ the xk 150 has such limited use I suggest you get a second car capable of transporting more than 1 passenger .

If you're partner disagrees with buying another car i suggest you ask her to travel in the back once and that will definitely change her mind

what you identify as a rear seat is nothing more than a low level parcel shelf 🤣

  6. Hiya Tim

unless your car is a R you don’t have to remove the bumper and the ped sensors can be accessed from the top ,that said if it is an R the sensors can be accessed by removing the front most under tray ,

you will probably find that these sensors are more problematic during the summer season (temperature) however they appear to have a life span of approx 10 years

never knew that you can have a height adjustable spring/standard front strut arrangement other than coil overs are you sure it isn’t the headlights levelling sensor?

  7. Mine are fitted permanently and in the event of having to use the space saver will just remove the spacer as I don’t have Alcons fitted ☹️
I just can’t see myself driving along with a spacer fitted🤮particularly on the rear ,I would probably have the tyre replaced at the roadside as the majority of rapid deflation’s destroy the tyre before you have a chance to stop
