Hi Everyone
As Im getting a little older i find myself able to spend a few ££s on the things I wanted as a 20yr old! Call it mid life etc etc but it's only now after the kids have flown I'm any where near able to get a Jaguar. Now as a kid the E-type was the dream and it always has been, but until the Lottery call me with the good news ..... So I'm looking for an XK8/XKR and am not sure what year/model I should look for or avoid - if any? i've joined the good people of this group in the hope that advice in abundance is available? Anyway, looking forward to hearing your comments. Thanks in advance

Same mate! How did you get on? There are a few motors out there but I don't want to commit to one until i have a depth of knowledge on what to look out for! 2005 seems to me to be the model spec I like with Recaro option if possible. What do you think?

I'm looking for an XKR and apart from the obvious rust, condition and dealer service wherever possible. What else should I look out for? I there a particular model/year that are better or worse than others?

Hi
I'm currently looking at XKRs and some have the Recaro option which I think look more appealing in the veh. they certainly look a better option from the pictures Ive seen. Is it really not worth bothering with these from the comments here?

Hi Patrick
Same!! I'm looking at an XK8/XKR convertible and just want to know what to look out for. I've been looking for a while and there are a few out there but which model year is the best spec etc. i'd hate to spend my money then find for another £500 i could have got so much more, or a veh with so many less niggles.
i'm 'savy' as much as i know service history and an amount of dealer care is desirable on such a high spec car etc.
It dosen't look like you got a great response here? Anyway, hope you had some luck?

Xkr lpg conversion

In the back of my mind as a potential XKR owner (4.2 Super) the conversion to LPG is something I would like to consider! I know the purists would shudder but a friend of mine converted a Range Rover a few years ago and never looked back. Thoughts?
