Mad Martyn

My 2006 2.7d managed to split the thermostat housing and pump out all the water.New housing fitted,coolant topped up and bled,everything good after a 50 mile run,except the heater won't heat up.Anybody had this problem?

pick your brains on fitting a new (second hand) indicator/ 

light switch.Is it straightforward or are there hidden problems

Hello peeps,got a problem with the gearbox on my s type.Starting up from cold

all the lights go out,pull away and amber light comes on left side of rev counter,

and won't go into top gears (assume 5th & 6th).Gearbox fault  appears,

Get car warm,stop,switch off,restart, problem gone.This has happened the last 

3times i've used the car.Is this going to be a cheap fix or will the wife get the 

hump when her housekeeping allowance gets drastically reduced?.Cheers all, Mart.

Thanks for the reply Jim.Changed the fluid yesterday,took it on a 40mile run,

and it has definitely improved.Going to change fluid again later as you can only

empty the reservoir,not the whole system,cheers Martyn.

Igot one aswell from FiveB.

The steering feels "notchy"i was wondering if a change of fluid would make any improvement.

Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this problem,cheers Martyn.
