  1. I bought my 2.Ltre D 2004 model 3 weeks ago, I new it had a fuel problem with a reduced price agreed as the repairs could amount to a fair bit ! only 62,000 miles. You can see my earlier post

about EGR Valve cleaning.A Long story short, i'm now on my third injector valve removal and cleaning. The 1st was change with recon Valve making no difference so cleaned original and put it back in. 2nd valve was replaced with new (recon) again and wow what a difference! The car started with a puff of smoke but that was it, Idle was stable and it sounded like a tighter engine ! completally different sound than before, I drove onto dual carriageway and let rip it feels like a new Car.

I recommend you clean the valves before spending lots money.

You should be very Careful doing this job, 1 injector at a time making sure no crud or dirt enter inlet

holes on top of valve, plenty of rags for cleaning, Remove excess oils first with rag, I used Holts engine cleaner spray, important note:

Do not spray into top half of Injector. Hold Injector upright and spray up into nozzles at bottom of injector at close range, important not to push crud/dirt in holes with rag ,let the spray clean the holes

until you see jet holes and carefully wipe in down strokes to remove heavy greased areas, when refittng check is washer at bottom of the jet or still in the seat of Block hole, if washer is loose

and out of block, A little tip is to use a metal coat hanger straightened cut about 16"s in length and put into injector hole and slide washer into injector hole, to prevent washer being dropped into rocker bay! These injectors are easy to remove and refit using the Diesel injector socket with window, 21mm on eBay about £10.00. any questions I will try to help you.

  2. You Are now talking to a Auto Bod(SPARKS in Cars) remove Radio via 4 screws ,,top switch panel will pull off with small screw driver/covered in black tape or cloth between plastics. The hazard /heated seates/ small panel switch at top. 2x screws

At bottom the ash/ blank tray and gear knob gator, will let you see screws x2. simple Bulb tester or 12v probe will find permanent 12v for Ipod /chargers, simply cut wire on cigar/12v socket. Cover wire with insulated tape on supply from aux, power ,via key. And connect permanent supply from behind main head unit(Radio) with a simple 5 amp Brown cable to what was a Aux supply on Cigar/12v adaptor. Tip use a thick rag or Jacket over console to prevent scatches!!

  3. I love my Car, I smell the leather evrytme I get in, just my Baby! but I never say it.

Black Ice Tree tucked under steering wheel adjustment gap left till dooms day.Kids

take off trainers when covered in !Removed! ! Beige Leather I lovingly cleaned and I mean cleaned (valeted) with my wife Jiff now named Siff does the Job best.LOL not wifes name...A

  4. this was how I cleaned mine,

it takes about an hour and you could get roped into cleaning manifold above it !

But the valve is where you need start.

I did find the problem to be a split in the pipe, just used some duct tape on it for now, but the smoke has cleared. Forgot to put the small vacuum tube back on, so the engine light came on, code reader off ebay for £13 and fixed that too.
